Titanfall DELAYED!

Today on Titanfall’s official website, there was news about an update to the launch date of the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall. Here is part of what was said by EA Studio’s Executive Vice President Patrick Soderlund:

In these last few weeks before launch, Respawn is in the final stages of polishing the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Bluepoint is doing the same with the Xbox 360 version. To give them the time they need to put the finishing touches on the current-gen version of the game, we are moving the Xbox 360 ship date to March 25 in North America and March 28 in Europe. The extra two weeks will ensure the full world of Xbox gamers has an awesome experience.

This launch delay seems to be only affecting the Xbox 360 version as the PC and Xbox One versions are still set for their March 11th release date. Also, the Titanfall beta for the Xbox One and PC seems to still be on.

Personally, this sucks! But also, I am all in agreement when it comes to delaying a game to make it better. I prefer to wait for a near perfect game than rushing and releasing an inferior product plagued with issues. So what if I have to now wait 2 more weeks for my Titanfall? I am okay with that.

What do you all think? Do you prefer it when they delay a game to make it better or do you prefer them to stick to the release date and patch it up as you play?

Let me know in the comments below.

I always prefer a delay. Shows they actually care enough about the came to try and perfect for us. Who wants to make for half a game and then end up having to deal with patches and updates. Ain’t no body got time for that.

I agree with the sentiments here. I also dont mind a delay if the purpose is to polish off the game and not avoid competition with GTA: V like Ubisoft did with Watch Dogs. Surprisingly though, this news doesn’t shake me one way or the other because I’m not looking forward to TitanFall. I may eventually like it when I get my hands on it, but it hasn’t appeared on my “must buy” radar just yet.
